Design Research Area 2

Design of interactive augmented reality

tools for scientific visualization and

discovery.

Tangible Biochemistry:

Interactive molecular docking

and exploration

Within this collaboration research and design area with Astrophysics and Biochemistry labs, I seek to design interfaces that make unseen scientific phenomena tangible to the senses and embedded into the user's physical world. I designed augmented reality interfaces for interacting with molecular chemical models and molecular docking. This augmented reality simulation will assist in designing, optimizing, and engineering biological and chemical systems (Kum-Biocca et al., 2020).
